Howdy folks -
Uber and Zipline announced a partnership yesterday. Drone delivery on Uber Eats. First deployments later this year. And Uber is investing in Zipline.

The partnership target: 1M drone deliveries per day by the end of 2029.
Zipline makes a delivery every 20 seconds today. That’s 4,320 a day.
1M a day is 231x that in about 40 months.
That is the most aggressive growth target I’ve seen anyone put in writing. We love to see it.
Keller Cliffton, Zipline founder and CEO, said the thing that matters. This partnership would not have been possible a year ago. It’s possible today because the technology is ready to scale.
“Teleportation isn’t science fiction anymore. It’s becoming part of everyday life.”
Zipline flew 135M autonomous commercial miles to get here. Five thousand hospitals. Thousands of lives saved every year. Ten years of the real world kicking them around until the aircraft worked, the routes worked, and the regulators said yes.
Five years ago, Zipline was a pilot program in Rwanda. Today it’s targeting 231x growth in the next 40 months.
