Last week, a Joby-equipped Cessna Caravan flew coast to coast. California to North Carolina. 3,199 miles. Zero control inputs from the safety pilot on board.
The aircraft (flying robot) controlled everything. Taxi. Takeoff. Cruise. Landing. Humans just watched from the ground.
Pilotless passenger flight is still years away. Maybe decades. But the direction is set. Momentum will fly us forward.
Freight will go first. Cheaper, faster deliveries.
Remote towns will be less restricted by roads.
Eventually, flying cars will arrive.
Slowly, then all at once.
